    Your photos in the Xavier yearbook!

    Dear Parents and Students,

     

    Get your pictures in the Xavier yearbook! The yearbook staff invites you to submit photos of school and school events. Our photographers have the challenge of covering two campuses this year, so please help us gather the many pictures needed to create a terrific yearbook. Here is how you can submit photos online:

     

    • Go to: https://images.jostens.com/login
    • If you are not automatically logged on, enter username: 400006091 and password: 2010yearbo
    • Browse to select the photo(s) you wish to upload.
    • Enter information about the photo and provide contact information in case the staff needs additional information.
    • Click "Save Details".

    Grade 7Read aloud for ten minutes, and turn in your signed reading log and storage notebook tomorrow. Study for a Greek/Latin roots quiz. Read to the break at the bottom of page 45 in Chapter 3 of All Quiet on the Western Front, and do Chapter 3 study questions 1 and 2.

    Grade 8 - Read aloud for ten minutes, and turn in your signed reading log and storage notebook tomorrow. Study for a Greek/Latin roots quiz. Read through page 91 in "The Sieve and the Sand" in Fahrenheit 451, and answer study questions through number 29.

    Grade 9 - Be ready to turn in your storage notebook. Study for a Greek/Latin roots quiz. Write a five line poem (minimum) in dactylic hexameter.

    Speech - Practice your demonstration speech.

    Creative Writing - Edit/add to your story.

    December 16 homework

    Grade 7Read aloud for ten minutes and have your reading log signed. You will turn it in on Friday for a quarter grade. You will turn in your storage notebook at the same time, so make sure it's together. Study Greek/Latin roots. Define the Chapter 3 and 4 vocabulary words for All Quiet on the Western Front. Memorize both sides of your debate arguments: Is there a difference between killing and murder?

    Grade 8 - Read aloud for ten minutes and have your reading log signed. You will turn it in on Friday for a quarter grade. You will turn in your storage notebook at the same time, so make sure it's together. Study Greek/Latin roots. Read through page 82 in "The Sieve and the Sand" in Fahrenheit 451. Do study questions 20-23.

    Grade 9 - Finish reading and summarize Book X, "Ulysses and Diomed Go Out as Spies" in the Iliad. You will turn in your storage notebook Friday, so make sure it's together. Study Greek/Latin roots.

    Speech - Practice your demonstration speech.

    Publications - Fix your pictures.
